  • July 22-24: BWC 2011 Cooperative School of Christian Mission, sponsored by United Methodist Women and The Conference Board of Global Ministries, was held at The Clarion Hotel, 901 Dual Highway (Rt. 40W), Hagerstown, MD 21740. Download the flyer. It is in Word format, intended for printing on both sides of one sheet of paper and folded into a brochure.
  • An article entitled "Rooted in Justice" in the November 2011 issue of Response Magazine includes a photo of our Conference UMW President participating in a protest march (wearing a red Baltimore-Washington Conference cap) in Birmingham, Alabama, regarding immigration legislation. She was attending the National Seminar which was held August 13-17, 2011 in Birmingham, along with two other BWCUMW representatives, Colleen Cates and Ieesha M. Gillis.
  • September 17: Susanna Wesley House Luncheon, at the Conference Mission Center.
  • September 19-21: Wesley Learning Center Service and Luncheon, at Wesley Theological Seminary.
  • November 11, 2011: Epworth House Mission Project, installation of officers, at Wesley Theological Seminary, 11:45.
  • October 22, 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.: BWC UMC United Methodist Women Annual Meeting 2011 at First UMC, 6201 Belcrest Road, Hyattsville. See photos.
  • November 20-22, 2011: United Nations Seminar in New York City. Download the flyer. It is in Word format,
  • December 10, 2011 (International Human Rights Day) at noon: We participated in Prayer to STOP Violence Against Women. This concentrated prayer was in support of the UMW's Action Alert: Celebrate 16 Days of Activism -- Say "No" to Violence Against Women. , wherever you are: to end violence against women.
